I cant say enough good things about this app!! As someone who uses it daily it is, without question, the best mobile swing analysis app available...and Ive tried them all!! Its functionality is great and simple to use, it never crashes, and its form is AWESOME!! Great work JC Video!!
J C Video has brought its extraordinary expertise in golf swing video analysis to the iPhone. This app has superior functionality and is easier to use than any other swing analysis app I have tried. It requires fewer taps to complete an analysis and I especially like the ease with which I can correct or change the position of a drawn line. Its much easier to draw lines close to other lines. Further, this app has split screen, mirroring and swing overlay features Ive only seen in high priced computer swing analysis software. This app is a winner!
I have owned JC Videos professional video analysis software for my PC for the last three years, and uses it daily for my high school and youth baseball teams. It has been a great tool for providing feedback to my players. So I was thrilled that they came out with this app. Now I can provide instant feedback to my players without first downloading clips to my pc. And JC Video has done a great job with this app. I can pull clips from my library and get to the exact spot Im looking for faster than I could on my old pc! And the inclusion of the side by side display was a great decision. Also love how quickly I can load side by side clips, scroll to a point, then sync them up. Cant adequately express how impressed with this app. I have also found that using the camera from inside the app seems to avoid the slow upload speed experienced when uploading clips from iPhones own video library. Video quality is as good as you will get with an iPhone camera, which is to say not too bad. Obviously, outdoor lighting will provide more crisp images than indoor clips. With my pc program I use Casios high speed EX-FH100, which can shoot up to 1000 fps. So considering the iPhones limits of 30 fps, the video quality is pretty good. Just makes me with I had the iPhone 4Ss with the 8 megapixel camera, or an iPad 2!! :-) I recommend buying this app. Its simple to use. Works great with the iPhone. Not to mention it makes my friends with droid phones jealous. At least until JC gets it on the droid market!
I DLed this app mainly to improve my golf game and to get instant feedback from my instructor who lives in another state now that I have moved away. I didnt want to switch instructors because we have made so much progress and that I love the way he teaches. To make a long story short, with this app I am able to get lessons as if we are face to face. This app is very easy to use and the functionality is phenomenal! I have also used it for other purposes other than my golf swing. The amount of ideas and activities you can use this app for is endless and I can say that this is by far my most favorite app on my phone and iPad. If I could give this app six stars, I would just for going over the top with the overall quality and smoothness of the interface. I could go on and on about this app, but saying everything I want to say isnt enough. Just try it out yourself and you be the judge. 10/10!!
This app needs some fixes when using the IPAD. Screens flip in different views when going from one application to another.
